How it works
Max Traxxx Tracer Racers is an award-winning racing set that has entertained kids and some adults for years. Not only can the tracks glow in the dark, but the cars that come with the set leave behind streaks as they whiz around the track. The cars can go forwards or backward and the tracks are compatible with other car racing sets so you can add to the tracks and make them even longer. The cars are run by a remote control that is wireless and the remote control doubles as a charging station for the cars. Children who have played with the Max Traxxx Tracer Racers have been entertained for hours as they sit and watch the cars whiz around the track either in the light or in the dark. The Max Traxxx Tracer Racers are a great buy for any kid who loves to watch the cars whiz around and create tracks that are changeable and fun.
Design
There are two cars that come with the set and the cars are charged on a wireless charger that runs on batteries. The charger also doubles as the remote control for the cars, so everything you need for the cars is in one spot. The cars can also go backward on the track as well as forwards.
The set also comes with X Blox. X Blox are small building blocks that you can put under the track to raise it up so that it becomes more challenging for the car to get over the track or around corners. The X Blox are also used to elevate the track so that when the car runs through the loop, the track can be raised for the loop to be built.
The Tracks
The male end of the track has two pegs at the end. The female end of the track has two openings for the pegs to snap into. All you have to do is slide the male end into the track so they are connected, and then all you have to do snap the pegs into the opening and the tracks will stay together seamlessly. The tracks connect completely flush so that the cars can whiz around the track and not be derailed by a separation in the track or a bump between the pieces. The loop connects in the same way, and the X Blox are also used to raise the track so that the cars can loop around and go underneath the track.
The Cars
Underneath the cars is a blue LED light that glows every time the car is activated to move. Because the cars move so fast, the light leaves behind a streak of blue light as the cars whiz around the track. In the light, the streak can be seen but not as prominent as when the lights are off and the room is completely dark. In the dark the blue light contrasts against the green glow of the tracks and the streaks are bright. The streaking adds another fun element to the racing cars as they appear to be going even faster and hover when the streaks can be seen.
The cars also have the capability to go backwards. Press the backwards button on the remote control and at a whim, you can change the direction of the car. Both cars are operated by the wireless remote control that comes with the set.
The Remote Controls
The remote control runs on four AA batteries. In order for both remote controls to work, you will need a total of eight AA batteries. It should be noted that when you buy the racing set that the batteries are not included. You will need to supply your own fresh batteries in order for the remote control to work. Without the remote control, the cars will not work.
The remote control also has a second function, and that function is to charge the cars. On top of the remote control is an opening that contains a wire. Reach into the controller and pull out the wire. The wire will then hook up to the car and charge it until it’s fully charged and ready to be used. In order to check if the car is fully charged, disconnect it from the charger and flip the car upside down. Pull the trigger on the remote control and when fully charged, the car’s underlight will blink indicating that is charged and ready to race on the track. It should also be noted that the remote controls are the most important part of making the set work at its full potential, so take extra good care of the remote controls and always have extra batteries on hand in case you need to switch the batteries out at a moment’s notice.
Competitive Play
Also, the art of competition also helps children perform better in school and work well on teams. So, not only will your child get fun times out of playing with the toys, but they will also get the opportunity to play with others and play well with others whether it’s friends or family as the Max Traxxx Tracer Racers is a great way for parents and children to spend time together building the set and then eventually playing with it.

Display
Either way, it becomes the focal point of the room and adds a bit of decorative flair to your child’s play area. The set is also a great idea for the toy collector who likes to open the toy and put it on display for all to see. The look of the set gives the scene a nostalgic feel as the set is that perfect display piece for a toy room as car racing sets are the quintessential toy that rounds out any toy display.
